This area of my work mainly revolves around the replacement of table and chair legs and bracing, gallery rails, small handles and finials.
I’m not sure whether to place this photo in antique restoration or custom pattern matched furniture as one of these tables is an Arts and Crafts original, while the other is a copy made on the request of the customer to get a pair.
Can you decide which is which?
This was an interesting job. These are bobbins for a Victorian “Weaving Machine.”
They can currently be seen working on the machine in the Science and Industry Museum in Manchester.
If you are in the North West and would like some pattern matched antique restoration please contact me and we can discuss your project in more detail.
