Paul Jones RPT Woodturner, Antique Restorer

Woodturning Craftsman Paul Jones RPT – Cheshire

I have always felt a close affinity for wood, a relationship that began in my school workshops and has stayed with me ever since.

I am now fortunate enough to be able to develop that relationship and explore the creative potential offered by the native hardwoods of the UK.

I have been a full-time Woodturner/Artist since 2007 and have trained with 3 of the UK’s best known and most accomplished turners known for their bespoke work, namely Mark Hancock, Tracy Owen and most recently Nick Agar.

In 2011 I won a bursary from the Worshipful Company of Turners to further develop my skills, particularly in creating large diameter and sculptural turnings, which is now a specialist area of mine.

I began selling my work in 2008, mainly on private commissions. You can send an email here to discuss your ideas.

Over the course of the last 15 years I have focused more on production turning, antique furniture repairs and restoration work as well as one-off centrepieces for hallways and gardens.

I am on the Register of Professional Turners, a group of less than 200 full-time Professional Turners from around the UK who provide high quality work and services to industry, the public and art collectors across the world.

The register is supported by the Worshipful Company of Turners.
